Bearded or beardless, irises are now in full bloom throughout Georgia.
Birds were singing, nesting, and twittering away on the outcrop near Arabia Lake this afternoon. Georgia’s state butterfly, the tiger swallowtail (Papilio glaucus), also made a spring appearance.
Sure and it’s a little late for St. Pat’s, but these images of water shamrocks (marsilea quadriflora) were hard to resist on the first day of Spring. And we could all use a bit of luck now, couldn’t we?
