Lexington Blue is going home to Kentucky for the 5th Annual UPIKE Film & Media Arts Festival. The screenplay has been tentatively scheduled for a stage reading on Saturday, April 6th at 3:30.
Update 4/8: Lexington Blue was chosen as Best Feature Script at the awards ceremony on April 6th. Deborah Novak’s documentary Andre Van Damme and the Story of the Charleston Ballet won for Best Professional Film, and Dale Farmer’s musical Mountain Minor won the prestigious Spirit of the Mountains Award, which was presented by former Kentucky Governor Paul E. Patton. Congrats to Deborah and Dale and the other winners and nominees, and many thanks to Andrew Reed and his team for their hard work and hospitality. Also a special shout-out to Shane Hall for his camerawork.
