The Moving Parts Film Festival will stage a live reading of “Selah Selam” with professional actors on September 15th at the Complex Hollywood theater on Santa Monica Boulevard. In conjunction with Chrysalis Pictures, the event will be filmed. The Moving Parts Festival “focuses on creating groundbreaking original works for the purpose of having a deeper understanding of all cultures and people” and seeks to encourage filmmakers and writers to “use their creativity to propel change.”
Note to Selah: Monica Quinn, the Festival Director, is a charismatic, caring, and upbeat person — just like you. She promises to handle your story with care. I may ask her to be your godmother.
Selah’s reply: I may be a little old for a godmother, and I think Monica and I look more like sisters. But anyway, it’s a nice thought, since in your writerly wisdom you decided to make me an orphan! 😦
