Selah Selam made it through to the finals of the Near Nazareth Festival in Israel, receiving an award for “Strengthening Friendship and Understanding Between Nations.”
Note to Selah: Congrats again, my likeable one! You certainly achieved your goal. And I wish you and Ginny, Heather and Winston, and Viv and the guys all the best for the holidays. BTW, how is the poetry coming along?
Selah’s Reply: Ginny has me putting together song lyrics, but I’m no Lauryn Hill:
How will you see the next cycle of the moon? / Half full or half empty, diminishing from view? / The light is leaving us — but coming back soon.
Where will you be, the next trip around the sun? / In a faraway place? A step closer to someone? / The universe is shaping us — its work is not done.
