“It turns out that I didn’t catch up with Hap Udall again for a couple of years. When I did, it was at a Barnes & Noble for a book signing.
A headshot of a smiling Hap immediately caught my attention. The time elapsed since Italy seemed about right for a release of the Fra Baldesarre opus, so my eyes raced over the announcement. Then I caught the title of Hap’s new release, Art History for Imbeciles, and felt an immediate letdown.
When it comes to art, I really am a stickler. I think we should all make an effort to elevate ourselves to the Sister Wendy level, at least . . .”
